Traditional Bespoke Kitchen

This beautifully crafted bespoke kitchen was built, installed and hand painted 8 years ago. Though overall it had fared well, in some high traffic areas, like around handles, it was starting to show its age.

The Client also wanted to refresh the feel of the room with a change of colour.

We started by removing all doors and drawer fronts. We always work on these in the workshop.

After degreasing and sanding all the surfaces, in many cases back to bare wood. We carried out repairs and adjusted the size of some of the doors to prevent them rubbing. We sprayed two coats of high adhesion primer to add build and eliminate the woodgrain. This ensures an imacculately smooth finish.

After denibbing the primer we applied a first top coat then a final full coat of industrial top coat. We followed the same process for the fronts and backs of the doors aswell as all the on site items, after completely masking the area.

Finally we demasked and rehung all doors and drawers to complete the project.

Colours: Farrow and Ball Strong White and Off Black in 10% sheen industrial coating.
